UW PM&R resident Evelyn Qin has been featured in the winter 2022 issue of Physiatry Forward. Her article, titled, "How Can  Art and Humanities Play a Role in Rehabilitation and Why We Need More PM&Rtists?" looks at the ways in which art can benefit both doctor and patient. 

In the article, Qin notes that: 

There is a growing evidence base that suggests learning experiences that integrate the arts and humanities within medical education lead to various important individual and institutional outcomes, including the promotion of well-being, better communication, teamwork, health and racial equity.
